Hillary Veldhuis was admitted to practice in New Jersey in 1987 and is authorized to practice in U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey. She is also admitted to practice in the Federal Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
Hillary is admitted to practice in Delaware and also has been admitted to practice in the Federal Court for the District of Delaware.
She concentrates her practice in the areas of consumer commercial litigation, loan workout, replevins and confiscations bankruptcy and is also experienced in foreclosures. Hillary also has substantial experience in preparing commercial and real estate loan documentation. Hillary was successful in establishing rights of assignees from the FDIC under FIRREA in the reported Appellate Division decision of Remington v. Vicari. She also clarified the priority interest of secured lienholders vis-à-vis garagekeepers in the reported Appellate Division decision of Midlantic Bank v. Wood. More recently, Hillary was able to simplify the procedures for obtaining wage executions in the reported New Jersey Supreme Court decision of First Resolution v. Seeker.
